A very good idea to thank or enlighten someone's day is making them a personalised DIY card. Here we have two cards using our todostencil patterns with the explanation of the process.

For today I have prepared two DIY craft cards, one of them to thank someone and the other to make somebody special smile. They both have our stencil patterns as the focus of the card, together with the message. For them both I have used a white thick card as the base, some stamps painted with alcohol markers and cardoboard die-cut words to which I added white and gold amboss powder.

The first card was prepared with a smooth and thin layer of golden watercolour paint. Once dry, I applied red ink with a sponge applicator and the diamond star stencil pattern. I filled up the right corner and degraded the ink to the rest of the surface without covering it all. Afterwards I added a touch of detail with the dirty stencil and some coffee-coloured ink.

I glued this piece to a coffee-coloured card, and added a bit of foamy to stand out the little blue dragon i coloured and cut from a stamp. I added aswell the die-cut word 'thanks' over a red vegetal piece of paper and some enamel dots to conlude this thank you card.

For the second card I also prepared the background with different coulour thin watercolour layers, which are hardly noticeable but still leave a colourful background. I added the arrowhead stencil pattern next with a mix of different ink colours, degrading carefully between one and the other with the sponge applicator.

I die-cut this card with the 'big shot' and a rectanguled die simulating a sewing. I glued a ribbon-shaped turquoise vegetal piece of paper and put some foamy to stand out the two little dragon stamps.

Some black die-cut card clouds were added, and on one of them the word 'smile' was glued. A few enamel dots conclude this cheerful card to make this special person smile.

I encourage you all to create stencil pattern backgrounds. Results are spectacular and with a single stencil we can create multiple art pieces, just by combinig different colours or by changing the way we use them.
