Features
- High precision: stencil manufactured using precision cutting to achieve sharp and consistent designs.
- Flexible and adaptable: easily conforms to curved or irregular surfaces, commonly found on miniatures and scale models.
- Durable and reusable: designed to withstand numerous uses when properly cleaned and maintained.
- Easy to clean: its smooth, non-porous surface makes it easy to remove paint, pigments, putty, and other materials used in modeling.
- Ideal for airbrushing: perfect for use with airbrushes to create uniform patterns quickly and easily.
- Multi-purpose: can also be used with brushes, paint sticks, and putty to create raised effects and textures.
- For all types of projects: especially recommended for miniatures, scale models, dioramas, scale vehicles, figures, robots, spaceships, and science-fiction projects.
Applications in Modeling
The Dirt Texture stencil is especially useful for recreating dirt and weathering effects on:
- Military vehicles and scale vehicles.
- Vehicle bodies and machinery.
- Tanks and combat vehicles.
- Spaceships and Sci-Fi vehicles.
- Robots and armor.
- Figures and miniatures.
- Buildings and structures.
- Terrain and scenery.
- Dioramas.
- Scale models of different sizes.
It can be combined with pigments, washes, oils, and different shades of paint to achieve effects of dust, mud, stains, and accumulated dirt.
By using different colors and varying the intensity of the application, it is possible to achieve anything from a light layer of dirt to heavily weathered and worn surfaces.
Thicknesses and Materials
The stencils are available in different thicknesses and transparencies, depending on the intended use. This allows you to select the material that best suits the type of surface and technique you are working with.
For modeling and miniatures, the thickness can be selected according to the size of the project, the level of detail, and whether you will be working on flat or curved surfaces.
All our stencils can be converted into self-adhesive stencils using our low/medium-tack repositionable spray adhesive, which leaves no residue. One application allows you to use the stencil several times. When the adhesion becomes too weak, the stencil can be cleaned with solvent and a new layer of adhesive can be applied.
